Walt Disney Animation Studios | 1937 - 2014

After seeing this post, I decided to make this. The “Experimental” era is usually referred to as Post-Renaissance. I imagine the Revival is going to continue through this decade. 2015 and beyond films listed are: (left to right) Zootopia, Giants, and Moana.

Meet Lava’s star

In advance of its premiere at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan, Pixar has shared a first look at their new short film, Lava. Depicted as a musical love story, Lava tells the tale of a volcano, Uku, who is looking for love among the ocean waters surrounding the Hawaiian islands. As you can see in the image above, Uku is perhaps the most lovable mountain ever put on film. He’s also a wonderful example of the power of modern animation technique, as the film depicts tropical flora and fauna with an incredible level of realism.

Lava will be released in June 19, 2015, when it comes to theatres ahead of Inside Out.

Get to know me meme: Favorite animated movies [1/5] » Aladdin

"Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what outside, but what is inside that counts. This is no ordinary lamp. It once changed the course of a young man’s life. A young man, who, like this lamp, was more than what he seemed. A diamond in the rough."
